Before Christmas, I was given the task of giving reviews on an
exhibition, a magazine and an interior review. This is my review on the
exhibition I attended, this exhibition was being held in Newcastle Upon Tyne in
the Globe Gallery, and was part of the Design Event mart 2013.
My review was on
Daniel Schofield’s Pendant Light:-
After returning from the Globe Gallery, I could not get how
elegant and beautiful Daniel Schofields Arundel Pendant Light was. The light
itself was inspired by the road in Sheffield, which is where they get their
name from and where they are made. Arundel Street was once the heart of
Sheffield’s metal working industry with the road full of machine shops. Though
today only a handful of craftsmen remain. Daniel clearly has a passion for
furniture, lighting and other accessories; his exploration of materials allows
him to use a range of different materials and finishes in his products.
